Service 01
Personal Supports
Personal supports are the practical, everyday kind of help: getting up and out, cooking, cleaning, staying on top of medication, getting to appointments. It is the service most people start with, and the one that touches nearly every part of the week.
What it looks like
- Support with personal care, hygiene, dressing and meals at home.
- Medication reminders, administered according to your plan and guidelines.
- A hand with housekeeping, laundry and grocery shopping.
- Getting to appointments, work or community activities — and back again.
Who it is for
- Adults with an intellectual or developmental disability who live in their own home, with family, or in a supported setting.
- People who want to stay independent but need consistent, reliable help to do it.
- Families who need a trained second pair of hands a few hours a week, or more.
